Installed our exhibition in the glass boxes at Platform on Monday. It is a compare and contrast look at Charles Garnier's L'Opera in Paris and our recent project in Oxford St, Collingwood. We have used a combination of real materials (carpet and glass extrusions from the chandelier) and images of the spaces. Within the facade of the Paris Opera we have created a periscope that allows visitors to secretly view passers-by.
Set within the representation of the Collingwood splash back are additional photographs of the Oxford St interior. They are back-lit and viewed via mirrors which makes them seem like glowing screens imbedded in the tiling pattern.
If you are in the city on Friday evening, come and have a look and join us for a drink.
